In this video, we guide you through setting up auto-archiving of SharePoint list records using Power Automate flows, ensuring the author and created timestamp columns remain intact. Maintaining a clean and efficient SharePoint list is crucial for scalability, as only current, relevant records should be hosted. Any outdated records need to be archived, and Power Automate simplifies this process, allowing tech-savvy business users to implement an effective archiving strategy.

The video then demonstrates how to create an archive list that mirrors the original list, then set up a scheduled Power Automate flow to move records older than a year to the archive. This involves configuring the flow to filter out records based on their creation date and copying them to the archive list while preserving the original metadata.
